  • Other networks in Europe

Even though urban heating & cooling networks are a relatively unknown and recent solution for Spain, they exist in many other countries and in major capital cities in Europe and the rest of the world.

In addition to the networks in Barcelona and Zaragoza, there are many urban heating & cooling networks in Europe and around the world developed by the ENGIE Group, which participates in Districlima via its subsidiary company Cofely España. The Group has more than 180 networks, including those in London, Brussels, Lisbon and Munich. The cooling network in Paris, for example, is the largest in Europe and supplies over 500 buildings including the Louvre, through a network of over 70 km. The city's heating network is even bigger, comprising over 437 km of pipes which supply several thousand buildings.

Some examples of these networks include:

Londres, Paris (heating, cooling), Mónaco and Lisbon.
